Addventure Awards was set up in 2005 by John Roberts, a keen outdoorsman to provide quality training for those who venture out of doors. Mark Clarke purchased the business in 2018 after John decided it was time to step back and retire. Mark has worked with John since the beginning of Addventure, working as an Instructor and Event Manager.

Mark has been involved with the Sea Cadet Corps from being a cadet, to Unit Commanding Officer holding the rank of Lieutenant (SCC) Royal Naval Reserve,    he has worked for the SCC as an outdoor instructor in North Wales for around 10 years, has been a member of the local Mountain Rescue Team for over 25 years, during this time he has held roles including First Aid Officer, Council Member, and was Deputy Team Leader for 5 years.

Mark holds several outdoor qualifications such as- Mountain Leader, DofE Supervisor and Assessor, Senior Sailing Instructor, Powerboat Instructor, and First Aid Instructor.
