Outdoor First Aid
This course has been developed over the years to support those first aider’s who find themselves in a more remote environment, when professional help may be some hours away. The course has a duration of 16 hours and is a level 2 qualification on the National Database of Accredited Activities. It fulfils the requirements of most National Governing Body Awards, MLTUK, BMG, BCU, RYA, Scouts and Guide leaders.Essentially a 2 part course, day 1 focuses on the diagnosis and care of life threatening emergencies. The second day develops these techniques in realistic, context based outdoor scenarios. The course will also spend time on the associated aspects of incident management, particularly in group situations.
This is an intense and practical course, contextualised to meet the specific requirements of our clients. Many of the scenarios take place outside so you will need to dress accordingly. The qualification is valid for three years, a lapse in this certificate may well invalidate your NGB awards.
