Expedtion Training
Addventure Awards Ltd. holds an AALA license to offer Hilwalking and Mountaineering within the UK without restriction.
This is ideally suited to the supply of the specialised expedition training required by Duke of Edinburgh Award candidates.
Our instructors are all experienced, fully qualified mature professionals located throughout the UK. Many are already involved with the Award and are familiar with its requirements.
Services
We are aware that the Duke of Edinburgh scheme has traditionally been run by volunteers, most of whom are well placed and experienced in supplying events and training. Our aim as a commercial supplier of expedition training is not to undermine this ethos, but to support it by offering whatever services you may require to supplement those available within your own organisation. All of our instructors are qualified to NGB standards and will 'go the extra mile' to ensure the success of your venture.
Groups:
We are able to provide whatever level of expedition support you require, from onsite classroom training within schools to remote safety cover in wild country areas. We maintain a stock of lightweight group equipment which is available for hire when using our staff. We do not normally provide an expedition supervisor for D of E groups; most groups choose to manage the pastoral care of the young people themselves. Transport requirements of young people are the responsibility of the school, parent or guardian.
Individuals:
It is our intention to offer support to "Open" award candidates. Individuals who for whatever reason are unable to access support for their expedition training or qualifying venture, please contact the office and advise your requirements.
